Spectacles
There are countless different lens options, but here are some of the most popular to give you an idea.
Single Vision
Anti-reflective lenses are available from £140 per pair. If you have a high prescription or want thinner lenses, consider ‘Thin and Light 1.6’ lenses from £180 per pair. These reduce the thickness and weight of lenses by around one third. If you have a very high prescription, ‘Ultra Thin and Light 1.74’ lens options are available to reduce thickness and weight further.

Bifocals
These are the most cost-effective option to avoid two pairs of glasses. It is worth considering varifocals too, as these avoid the visible line across your lenses and give intermediate vision (useful for car dashboard or computer viewing, for example) as well as distance and reading clarity.
Anti-reflective bifocal lenses are available from £240 per pair. If you have a high prescription or want thinner lenses, consider ‘Thin and Light 1.6’ lenses. These cost £310 per pair and reduce the thickness and weight of lenses by around one third. If you have a very high prescription, ‘Extra Thin and Light 1.67’ lens options are available to reduce thickness and weight further.

Varifocals
Varifocals gradually change in power from the top to the bottom of the lens. This allows power for tasks at middle distance, for example, viewing a computer screen and, unlike a bifocal, there is no visible line across the lens. With varifocals, one pair of lenses can be used for distance, reading and intermediate viewing distances.
Our most popular varifocal lenses are the new bespoke "freeform" lenses. Bespoke freeform lenses use the latest technology in varifocals to give the most comfortable and natural vision. The lenses are designed and manufactured individually for you, taking into account the shape of your chosen frame, the amount of the lens needed for different tasks and allowing the best possible vision across the lenses. Our most popular varifocal lenses cost £430 per pair.
If you have a high prescription or want thinner lenses, consider ‘Thin and Light 1.6’ lenses reduce the thickness and weight of lenses by around one third. A popular example are the Emblem SEIKO 1.6 lenses which cost £500 per pair. If you have a very high prescription, even thinner and lighter lens options are available to reduce thickness and weight further.
